Cosmo Sarson is a British artist based in Brighton, known for large scale murals, street art and contemporary urban painting. In 2012 he gained news headlines around the world with Breakdancing Jesus, a four storey high mural in Stokes Croft, Bristol. It trended online and was reported widely across broadcast, print and digital media.

He has undertaken several major public art commissions, including a 65 metre long mural for London’s Northwood Hills Tube Station, fabricated from kiln fired vitreous enamel panels, and an iconic portrait of Neptune standing 10 metres high, comissioned by the biggest building development project in Brighton in 50 Years. An installation that combines jet cut and digitally printed tiles with laser cut steel.

In 2012 he was one of the first artists to incorporate augmented reality into a painted public mural for the Windsor Olympic Games Trail, allowing viewers to interact with the 25 metre long work via smartphones.

Beyond public murals and street art, Sarson has collaborated with global brands including Nike, Coca Cola, Levis, Swatch and Sony. His work has been exhibited at venues including the Saatchi Gallery, Pure Evil Gallery in Shoreditch London and Scope Art Miami, and has been published extensively in books and magazines.

Alongside his studio practice he is an established scenic artist for film, contributing artworks, period decor, specialist finishes and scenic painting to over 40 feature films, from Children of Men to recent productions including 28 Years Later and Running Man.
