Breakdancing Jesus - Artworks : Cosmo Sarson

The idea of Breakdancing Jesus came from an old newspaper cutting I cut out and kept in the back of my wallet for years...Literally.
I didn't have a studio at the time and I promised myself that this image was going to be the first thing I painted when I got a studio again.
It stems from an occasion when a Polish youth group breakdanced for Pope John Paul II in the vatican.
Due to an oversight in my uploading a hi-res photo of the painting to a popular blog, it quickly became the screen saver of choice for thousands of discerning art lovers around the world.
If I had a penny for every time it was... ah, I'm not even gonna think about it.
God works in mysterious ways.
In fact, when he posted it on his facebook page, it received over 40,000 likes and 11,000 shares in just a couple of hours.

Original reference, painting and charcoal sketches.
